If you’re looking to create real change in the world with your passion, then you’re probably working alone or running a purposeful business. And at this point, you’re already ‘marketing’ your services.
But here’s what you might not know:
It can often feel and look like you’re marketing when you’re actually not.
That’s because you may be missing one big piece: strategy.
Marketing is huge and there’s a lot of confusion as to what it truly is. We often need to learn a whole new skill along with some tech pieces to create an effective strategy.
The truth is, most wellness trainings and certifications (yoga training, life coaching certification, healing certifications, etc) don’t tell their graduates that they are running a business, let alone teach them business and marketing skills.
I know because I’ve graduated from 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings and a life coaching certification where these types of skills were not taught. Unless you have a business degree or worked these skills in a startup or corporate setting — there’s often no way to know what marketing strategy is.
So if you’re not really seeing ‘results’ from that one post you did that felt so perfect, or the ‘boost ad’ didn’t have people flocking to your offering, then what really is effective and authentic marketing?
